Credit Card Payment
Since 2005, TCP Data has used Paypal (an Ebay company) to process credit card orders. Processing credit card orders via a 3rd party processing company, affords certain advantages for us and the customer. For us it means (1) we need not get involved with implementing methods to securely handle sensitive information, (2) we are relieved of the expense of dealing with multiple credit card companies (monthly and gateway fees) and (3) our bookkeeping/accounting responsibilities are greatly simplified.

Paypal is in the credit card order processing business. This mechanism of processing credit card orders has many important advantages for the customer:

  • We never see your credit card data. Paypal handles this information and relays funds to our bank.
  • Paypal uses state-of-the-art security to acquire the credit card data. They have dealt with all kinds of scams and fraud. Its their business.
  • Paypal processes the data securely, without error.
  • The customers right to scrutinize and/or enter into chargeback processing is not diminished. In fact, it is enhanced. Paypal's continued success is dependent upon keeping a good, working relationship with the major credit card companies.
  • Guarantee of proper record retention and customer access.
Note: TCP DATA will appear on your credit card statement.

Note: You do not have to open a Paypal account to make credit card payments.
